Sterile Processing Technician (Full-Time Evenings)

Evanston, IL | Prime Healthcare St. Francis Hospital | ⏰ Full-Time | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Are you passionate about patient safety and ensuring healthcare teams have the sterile instruments they need to provide exceptional care? Prime Healthcare St. Francis Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our Medical Supplies team.

In this critical role, you'll help maintain the highest standards of infection prevention by cleaning, disinfecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing medical instruments and equipment used throughout our hospital.

Schedule

✅ Full-Time

✅ Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

✅ Rotating call on weekends and holidays

✅ Must reside within a 60-minute commute for call requirements

What You'll Do

\n
• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
\n
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards
\n
• Maintain proper inventory and distribution of sterile supplies
\n
• Document sterilization processes accurately
\n
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care needs
\n
• Participate in on-call rotations as assigned
\n

Qualifications

Required

\n
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent related experience
\n

Preferred

\n
• Two (2) years of Central Sterile Processing experience in an acute care hospital setting
\n
• Central Supply Certification (CRCST/CSPDT or equivalent)
\n
• Current BLS Certification (AHA)
\n
