Position Summary:

The Sales Associate achieves sales goals for both new product and repair services. Travel into territory (NC,SC,GA,AL,MS,TN,FL) to support achieving sales goals and customer support goals. This may include customer presentations, on-site support, cold calls, developing representatives and strategic partners, and expediting. Manage territory of accounts in the Midwest as the primary contact for prospecting new accounts and developing existing accounts. Act as project manager for these accounts from product selection through order shipment. Expand CTS’s customer base, selling to new and existing key/target accounts where CTS does not currently have regional representation. Accounts may be added or subtracted, and the boundaries of the territory may be adjusted at the discretion of the Company.

Remote Location:

Preferred State Location: (Anywhere) in territory preferably AL, GA or SC.

Essential Functions:

· Design, recommend, and implement short and long-term sales strategies to increase new product and service sales volume in territory.

· Work from the office (or home office) approximately 70% of time to support planning, target marketing, customer satisfaction, and communication to customer, and be traveling in the territory a minimum of 30% of the time (estimated 50 overnight stays per year).

· Utilize Computer System, video and/or on-line platforms, cell phone (calls, e-mails, and texts) and other selling tools to manage accounts and to find new accounts.

· Provide technical support to customers in the form of innovative and cost-effective and slide design proposals.

Requirements:

· High school diploma.

· A minimum of 5-years experience in selling machine tool components, spindles, live tooling, aggregate head and cutting tools.

· Demonstrated knowledge of precision machinery, machine tool components, electronics, motors, drives and control systems, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

· Technically astute in metal cutting machine, machine tool and cutting applications, and spindle design.

· Understand and apply standard project management methodologies.

· Able to manage multiple projects at one time and maintain a project schedule.

· Obtain all necessary information to ensure complete and accurate data is available and used when processing service repairs.

· Create and deliver sales presentations to mid and top management decision makers.

· Identify and develop concepts that provide unique solutions to applications that provide a competitive selling advantage.

· Maintain a presence at key customers so they are familiar with CTS’s services and capabilities.

· Represent and promote CTS during visits to customer sites, exhibitions, and during customers visits to CTS facilities.

· Maintain project files in accordance with departmental standards.

· Possess and maintain a current and valid personal driver’s license in the state in which you reside.

· Be willing and able to visit customer facilities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
